The biological activity of this peptide is examinded by the Division of Pharmacology, Peptide Institute, Inc.Adrenomedullin (Rat) is a polypeptide amide of 50 amino acids instead of 52 amino acids for the corresponding human Adrenomedullin. It shows not only diuretic, natriuretic and vasodilatory activities, Adrenomedullin (Rat) has also some pro-apoptotic and anti-proliferative effects in mesangial cells. Dose-dependent antimicrobial activity against E. coli has been reported recently.
