(3,5- Difluorophenylacetyl)- L-alanyl- L-2-phenylglycine t-butyl ester

Inhibitor for γ-Secretase The abbreviation DAPT stands for Difluorophenylacetyl)-alanyl-phenylglycine-t-butyl-ester. DAPT is a commonly used cell permeable inhibitor for enzymes of the secretase family and may be a helpful tool in the study of β-amyloid formation in Alzheimer´s disease. Notch signaling in hybrid human-mouse fetal thymus organ culture was inhibited by treatment with DAPT. This γ-Secretase inhibitor may be useful in research of autoimmune diseases. The protected dipeptide ester offered in vials of 5 mg is of synthetic origin. DAPT is soluble in DMSO, Ethanol or other organic solvents.
