Activator of Ca2+ Release Channels / Ryanodine Receptors Imperatoxin A is a 33 residue peptide toxin originally isolated from the venom of Scorpion, Pandinus imperator. IpTXa is a potent modifier for the RyR1 and RyR3 channels with high affinity. Imperatoxin A enhances calcium release and is a strong agonist of ryanodine receptors.
