Substrate for Elastase The tripeptide substrate Suc-Ala-Ala-Ala-AMC is commonly used as fluorogenic enzyme substrate for pancreatic elastase. The abbreviation MCA stands for methyl-coumaryl-amide and is used as synonym for AMC.
