Xenopsin Related Peptide Xenin 25 belongs to the Neurotensin/Xenopsin family and is a potent stimulus for exocrine pancreatic secretion. It is part of the regulation mechanism of food intake. Additionally Xenin-25 regulates the intragastric pH and has influence on the plasma insulin level. The C-terminal sequence of 6 amico acids are similiar to the C-terminus of the octa peptide Xenopsin isolated from frog Xenopus laevis.
