Amylin (Human) is a 37 mer polypeptide with two disulfid bridges, which shows suplementary activities to insulin. This peptide hormone called Islet amyloid polypeptide (IAPP) or alternatively Amylin was secreted by pancreatic β-cells like insulin or glucagon depending to food intake.
