Inhibitor for Elastase Purified Elastatinal [51798-45-9], a high specific inhibitor of serineproteases of the elastase family, was originally isolated from culture media of actinomycetes. Elastatinal can also be used as an inhibitor for thermitase, a thermostable serine protease from Thermoactinomyces vulgaris, and for macroglobulin-protease complexes.
